Police: Man shoots BB gun at Pottsgrove Middle School bus door

There were scary moments on a school bus when a man fired a BB gun at the bus packed full of students in Montgomery County.
Police spent Wednesday searching for the man who fired the shot as was seen hanging out the window of a moving car. The bus was stopped at a major intersection when it was hit just after 3 p.m. Tuesday, said police.
It happened at North State Road and Route 100 North in Upper Pottsgrove Twp., Montgomery Co., which is literally feet from the police station.
"What's wrong with people, why would they do that? It's awful," said Lisa Tucci, whose children go to school in the district.
"I think it's horrible, it's horrible," said Carol Wallace, who has friends in the district.
The Upper Pottsgrove police chief, William Moffett, and bus number 49 were back at the scene Wednesday where the Pottsgrove School District bus was shot at with 50-70 students on board.
Parents were left rattled, and school district officials were frightened.
"Obviously, I was very fearful for the students and their safety and very concerned for them," said school district superintendent Shellie Feola.
The bus's glass front door was shattered as it was transporting the Pottsgrove Middle School students.
"It sounds more like a random shooting as they were driving up 100, and that's my guess as to what's going on," said Chief Moffett.
The chief interviewed the substitute bus driver and witnesses, and looked through the bus's camera, trying to get a better idea of who was behind the senseless shooting.
Right now, the shooter is described as a young dark-skinned man. He was last seen in a tan or light gray sedan.
"I hope they catch them, they could have hit one of the kids or the bus driver," said Donna Hall, who heard about what happened.
"If they could do this to any school bus, it's very worry some that somebody would think that's OK to do," said Tucci.
Police are asking anyone with information about the vehicle or the people involved in the shooting to call 610-327-1441.
