BETHEL TWP., Pa. -

Police in Berks County say they have identified the driver responsible for a hit-and-run crash on I-78.

Jeffrey Overdorff, 45, of Armagh, is facing a slew of charges for an incident that occurred Thursday on I-78 West at mile marker 14.3 in Bethel Township.

Police say Overdorff, while in the right lane, pulled alongside another vehicle when he became verbally abusive and threw an empty cup toward the car. A trailer attached to Overdorff's truck hit the other car, causing it to scrape the the center concrete barrier. Police say Overdorff drove off.

Fortunately, no one was injured.

Police identified Overdorff as the suspect on Saturday. He is facing numerous traffic violations, including careless driving.
