Police: Helpful bystander intervenes in argument, gets shot

A man who police say tried to break up a fight in Allentown ended up getting shot and another person was also wounded.
It happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of 14th and Scott streets.
Police say a man, woman and several children were walking along when a group of males approached them and said something degrading to the woman.
The man approached the group, and one man in the group pulled out a handgun and tried to rob the man and woman and knocked down the man, police said.
A fight broke out and police say another man was shot when he came by and tried to help.
A juvenile female that was with the victim was also shot. They were taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest for treatment.
They are both expected to recover.
Police are now looking for two men, both dark-skinned; one was wearing dark clothes and the other wore shorts and a T-shirt.
