ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

Two people had to be rescued from a vehicle after a car crash where the driver apparently fled the scene.

It happened in Allentown around 9:45 p.m. Tuesday.

A vehicle drove off Fish Hatchery Road and into an embankment near Oxford Drive and the city's recycling center, police said.

Two people were trapped and one man was missing, they said.  It's believed the missing man was the driver of the vehicle.

Search crews, including a K-9 unit, were out searching for the missing man late Tuesday night, and police said he was found Wednesday.

It's not clear where he was found, but he was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest in Salisbury Twp., Lehigh Co., for treatment of his injuries, police said.

One person was seriously hurt in the crash.  Another also sustained injuries.
