Police: Attempted nightclub shooting lands man behind bars

A Brooklyn man is behind bars in Lehigh County after a wild night in Allentown.
Police say 31-year-old Trevor Leebing was ejected from Catch 22 Nightclub at 333 Hamilton St. in Allentown after an altercation inside.
According to police, around 3:30 a.m. Sunday, Leebing became enraged and pulled out a gun. Officials say Lebing then made his way back to the bar's bouncer where he then pointed the firearm to the bouncer's head.
Leebing then pulled the gun's trigger but it malfunctioned. and that started a chase down Hamilton Street police said.
Police say Leebing threw the gun over the Hamilton Street Bridge while fleeing the scene. Authorities soon after caught him.
Lebing is currently in Lehigh County Prison.
He's charged with five count each of attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
His preliminary hearing is scheduled for May 6 at 2 p.m.
