Police: 63-year old man air-lifted after vehicle crash

LOPATCHONG TWP., N.J. -

A 63-year old man was air-lifted to a local hospital for treatment Wednesday after a motor vehicle crash.

Police say Kenneth G. Keller, of Phillipsburg, N.J. was the driver of a 2004 Honda CRV that was struck by a 2001 Toyota Camry driven by Terry J. Levingstone of Washington, N.J. at about 8:39 a.m.

34-year old Levingstone was travelling west bound on Route 57 when he attempted to stop suddenly for traffic, causing him to lose control of his 2001 Toyota Camry, police say.

Levingstone crashed into Kelly who was travelling on Route 57 east bound at the time.

Levingstone was charged with careless driving and driving an unsafe vehicle, according to police.

Lopatcong Township police were assisted at the scene by Greenwhich Township  Police, New Jersy State Police, Lopatcong and Greenwich Township Emergency Squads and Lopatcong Fire Department.
