Police say two people are in custody after a homemade bomb went off in West Reading.

WEST READING, Pa. -

Police say two people are in custody after a homemade bomb went off in West Reading.

Police say the bomb was set off in the 600 block of Court Street Thursday afternoon.

They say homemade bomb was filled with drain cleaner and another substance wrapped in tin foil.

Luckily no one was injured but police say things could have been much worse.

"As soon as they put the device there, it could have been something that turned really bad, if somebody had shown up at the wrong time," said Sgt. Phillips.

Police say one of the suspects has been identified as Eric Schoonmaker Junior of Sinking Spring.

He's facing a list of charges including risking a catastrophe.
