Lamiek Turner
MOUNT POCONO, Pa. -

Police have arrested a 19-year-old man on marijuana charges and a 16-year-old ran away from officers.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police said they saw Lamiek Turner and a juvenile boy sitting in a car with marijuana on Nov. 25.

The two were parked in the Walmart parking lot at 3271 Rt. 940 in Mount Pocono, Monroe County.

When police approached the car, the juvenile fled from the driver's seat into a wooded area.

Turner, of Tobyhanna, remained on scene and obeyed police commands. He was taken into custody for having a knotted sandwich baggie in his hand, police said.

A search of the car found two one-ounce baggies containing bulk marijuana, two more baggies containing about 1/2 gram quantities of marijuana, $503 in cash, a sleeve of empty bags, a digital scale and a black cell phone.

A records check of the juvenile, also of Tobyhanna, showed he is currently wanted for a juvenile case in Monroe County. An arrest warrant was issued.

Turner was charged with possession with intent to deliver marijuana, criminal use of a communication facility, criminal conspiracy, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Turner was taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility in lieu of $10,000 bail.
