The Schuylkill County police chief who's known for his profanity-laced gun rights videos blasted his critics during a rally Saturday.

The Schuylkill County police chief embroiled in a national controversy over profanity-laced gun rights videos he posted on the Internet held a rally against a billboard calling for his firing.

Gilberton Police Chief Mark Kessler held the rally Saturday afternoon next to the billboard erected by the Coalition to Stop Gun Violence in the 400 block of South Lehigh Ave. in Frackville.

In a Facebook posting, Kessler writes, "Don't forget to bring your firearms."

The billboard is calling on the Gilberton Borough Council to fire Kessler.

Kessler was suspended from his job for allegedly using department weapons and ammunition to make online videos showing him firing guns, using profanity and mocking liberals.

The Coalition to Stop Gun Violence says Kessler is a menace who must be removed.

Kessler calls the billboard "comical" and says he's not going to stop exercising his First and Second Amendment rights.
