State dump truck stolen in Coolbaugh Township

COOLBAUGH TOWNSHIP, Pa. -

One of PennDOT's dump trucks is missing.

Pocono Mountain Regional Police are looking for a  dump truck stolen from the state Department of Transportation.

A 2012 International, tandem style truck was stolen Saturday night or early Sunday from the yard of the PennDOT station along Route 423 in Coolbaugh Township, Monroe County.

The yellow vehicle bears state registration PA3480A. It may be damaged, because the gate at the entrance to the PennDOT station was heavily damaged by a vehicle exiting the premises, according to police.

The truck was last seen going south on Route 423 toward Pocono Pines.

When police arrived about 7 a.m. Sunday, they found a late model white sedan parked along Route 423 near the PennDOT station. They keys were in the car and it appeared to be undamaged. Police determined that car had been stolen at about 11 p.m. Saturday from Larksville, Luzerne County.
