State police are searching for an armed and dangerous man who pointed a gun at a state trooper in Schuylkill County Thursday night.
It started just after 6:30 p.m. in the Happy Valley Trailer Court in Molino, West Brunswick Township, near Hawk Mountain.
Edward Clark Hill, 54, of Mohrsville, got into a fight with Edward Welty, the caretaker of the trailer park, according to a state police news release.
When officers arrived on scene, they found Welty who described to them what happened, Trooper David Boehm said. During this conversation Hill was seen walking on the nearby railroad tracks.
A trooper yelled to Hill who then ran, picked up a long rifle that was laying with a bag near the tracks and pointed the rifle at the trooper, said Beohm. The trooper then fired at Hill.
Hill was last seen walking along railroad tracks toward New Ringgold, Schuylkill County, Beohm said.
It's unclear if Hill was hit by the trooper who fired at him.
Hill's charges include attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
