6th grader could be facing harassment charges

PALMERTON, Pa. -

A Carbon County teen is facing charges after police say he threatened elementary school students via social media sites.

Police say charges of terroristic threats and harassment are pending against the 13-year-old boy, of Palmerton.

Investigators say the boy threatened 6th grade students at Towamensing Township Elementary School and Franklin Elementary School using sites Oovoo and Instagram.

Officials say he threatened to physically hurt the students, and later admitted to making the threats.
