Police: Crash victim had 112 packets of heroin in pockets

DENNISON TWP., Pa. -

A 52-year-old Paxinos man is facing heroin possession charges following a crash on Route 80 in Dennison Township, Luzerne County.

State Police say the crash occurred around 1:15 a.m. Wednesday when Frank Rodriguez lost control of his vehicle at mile marker 266. The vehicle rolled onto its roof.

Police say 121 packets of suspected heroin was found on Rodriguez while he was being treated for moderate injuries at Geisinger Hospital.

Police say he will be charged with DUI and possession of heroin with intent to deliver.
