Lehigh Co. man killed in Carbon County motorcycle crash

Slatington man dead after motorcycle, car collide

PARRYVILLE, Pa. -

A Lehigh County man was killed Sunday when his motorcycle collided with a car in Carbon County.

Officials say the accident happened around 2 p.m. Sunday on Route 248 at the Parryville exit and the motorcyclist was airlifted to a hospital.

The Lehigh County coroner's office said the cyclist -- identified as 55-year-old Stephen Papay of Slatington -- died around 8 p.m. Sunday at the hospital.

State Police are investigating the cause of the wreck.
