A Luzerne County man has been arrested and charged with allegedly participating in a cocaine trafficking ring.
A federal grand jury in Scranton indicted 53-year-old Jose Angeles, also known as 'Catalino Rivera-Felix' and 'Tito' in January.
The indictment says Angeles conspired with others to possess and distribute crack cocaine and powder cocaine in the Hazleton area during a three-year period: from January 2011 to the present.
Angeles was arrested Wednesday by federal agents.
The grand jury documents show Angeles distributed and possessed with intent to distribute crack cocaine in May and October 2012, and September and October 2013.
The charges stem from an investigation by special agents and task force officers of the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Pennsylvania State Police, Hazleton Police and Sugarloaf Police.
If convicted of the charges, Angeles faces up to 20 years in prison and a $1 million fine on each charge.
