For second time in two weeks, alleged sex assault under investigation at East Stroudsburg University

For the second time in two weeks, police are investigating a possible sexual assault at East Stroudsburg University. The incidents come after an armed robbery there too. In spite of all that, many students feel safe.
Saturday meant Game Day at ESU.
"We're tailgating before the game," said Andy Soltes, whose son plays on the team. "My one son is cooking breakfast for everybody."
But it's not just football on students' minds. They're dealing with news of another alleged sexual assault. Campus police said the latest incident happened early Friday morning at Laurel Hall. Authorities said the alleged victim knew her alleged attacker, a fellow student, but have not offered further details.
"I just think there needs to be more security in the dorms, honestly, because they're clearly letting people in who shouldn't be let into the dorms," said ESU sophomore Courtney Crist.
The latest report comes less than two weeks after another student said she was assaulted at Lenape Hall. Just one day earlier, a male student said four men robbed him at gunpoint.
"I'm not really too concerned," said ESU sophomore Briana Lupinaccio. "I know my surroundings when I'm out and everything."
East Stroudsburg may be a spread-out campus, but help is never too far away. There are plenty of emergency call boxes, and students tell us, using just a little common sense can go a long way.
"I'm usually in a big group," said Crist. "I try not to go places by myself."
Junior Molly Keck added: "I make sure I always have my cell phone on me and I have pepper spray on me in case anyone does try and get near me or anything."
Many students said it's all about making smart decisions.
"I feel pretty safe," said sophomore Becky Sim. "I think it just depends on who you bring up to your room."
One things is certain, though. These students will be watching their backs a little more closely.
