A Monroe County man has been charged with stabbing another man inside a Long Pond home Monday afternoon.
Pocono Mountain regional police responded to a report of a domestic assault and stabbing around 4 p.m. at 103 Johns Lane.
Inside the home, they said they found David Gallagher, who had been stabbed multiple times. Gallagher was transported to Community Medical Center in Scranton, where he was last reported to be in critical condition.
Edward Baliski, who was outside when police arrived, admitted stabbing Gallagher several times during an argument in the home, police said.
Another person, Patricia Gallagher, had been punched during the argument, police said, and she also had a cut on her right arm.
Baliski, 58, was charged with attempted homicide, aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and possessing instruments of crime.
He was taken to Monroe County Correctional Facility to await arraignment.
