Drunk man hits two with beer bottle, flattens tires

Forty-year-old Tuan Q. Tran of Stroudsburg was arrested Sunday after he became intoxicated, struck two people in the head with a beer bottle and used a knife to flatten the tires on one of the victim's vehicles.

Stroud Area Regional Police charged Tran with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment, criminal mischief and public drunkenness.

The two people hit with beer bottles were treated for head lacerations.


 In an unrelated incident, 21-year-old East Strousdsburg resident Jesus M. Rivera was charged with disorderly conduct after he was observed urinating in public on the 700 block of Main Street, Stroudsburg.

And 27-year-old Mt. Pocono resident Katherine R. Heath with public drunkenness after she was found in an intoxicated condition, also on the 700 block of Main Street.

On Saturday night, several other men were also charged with disorderly conduct for urinating in public in Stroudsburg, mostly also in the 700 block of Main Street.

They included 21-year-old Gary W. Browner Jr. of Scranton; 22-year-old resident Nicholas P. Angione of Towaco, N.J ; 22-year-old Qushan H. Ward Mickle of Allentown, and 20-year-old Collin Hegarty of Stroudsburg.

Francesco Zayas, 20, of East Stroudsburg, faces the same charge after he was observed urinating in public on N. 7th Street in Stroudsburg. 

Also Saturday night, 34-year-old Bartonsville resident Kirk A. Harrell was charged with public drunkenness for being intoxicated and combative with staff at Pocono Medical Center.
