Body found by pedestrians in Schuylkill County

Police say the body of 23-year-old Nicholas McCabe was found on an old railroad bed between Bower and Lehigh Streets in Shenandoah Borough early Sunday morning.

Police in Schuylkill County are trying to figure out the circumstances surrounding the death of a 23-year-old man whose body was found Sunday.

Shenandoah police said the body of Nicholas McCabe was found around 5 a.m. by pedestrians on the old railroad bed between Bower and Lehigh streets.

McCabe's last known address was in Ashland.

The investigation is ongoing, and police said they're waiting for autopsy and toxicology results from the county coroner.

The coroner's office said the autopsy results aren't complete yet, and toxicology results could take weeks.
