Arrest made in pipe bomb incident

COOLBAUGH TWP., Pa. -

Police in Monroe County have arrested a man they say made a pipe bomb.

Police were called to a home in the 1600 block of Sunnyside Drive in Tobyhanna Monday afternoon after a man contacted police saying he believed his son made a pipe bomb.

Police say James Arnold, III admitted to making the bomb a few weeks ago in his father's garage.

The bomb squad was able to detonate the device in a secure area.

Arnold, III is facing several charges including a weapons of mass destruction charge.  

No one was injured in Monday's incident.
