Monroe County Man Charged with sexual contact with minors at church

He was a volunteer at a church, but investigators say his intentions were anything but holy.

Now a Monroe County man is charged with having sexual contact with three girls at the Pocono Community Church in Coolbaugh Twp., Monroe Co.

Police say 47-year old Ali "Ricki" Ramzan Ali was a volunteer at the church where he met the three victims ranging in age from 12 to 16.

"Mr. Ali had sexual intercourse with one of the victims," said Lt. Chris Wagner with Pocono Mountain Regional Police.

According to the criminal complaint, Ali and the girl had sex several times in the church's handicapped bathroom and he sent her at least one text message asking her to send him nude photos.

Wagner says in September of 2011, the girl told someone at the Pocono Mountain School District and the information was forwarded to authorities.

A year-long investigation ensued. Ali is now facing charges involving all three girls.
Wagner says Ali did not have sex with the other two girls.

"Just a lot of suggestive communication from him regarding acts that really are
inappropriate for a female of that age," said Wagner.

Church officials declined to go on camera about the incident, but released this statement:

"Like everyone else in our community, we are concerned for the alleged victims in this situation. However, the individual accused of these acts, is not, nor has he ever been, an employee of this church."

"We have been working with the church as far as any knowledge that they had or any complaints that they received. They have collected statements from some of the church members and those will be turned over to our department to further the investigation," said Wagner.

Investigators say there may be more victims out there and are urging anyone with information to contact Pocono Mountain Regional Police.
