A Carbon County hotel was forced to evacuate following a Friday night fire.
Officials say the fire -- which they are calling "suspicious" -- started around 11:20 p.m. in a dumpster behind the Hampton Inn off Route 209 and Rock Street. The fire spread to the rear portion of building.
Firefighters from eight departments needed about two hours to extinguish the blaze.
There were no reported injuries.
Hampton Inn patrons were offered accommodations at nearby hotels.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
As of early Saturday morning, it was unknown if the hotel had been allowed to re-open.
