A small dog missing for two years was found treading water 2 miles off the Florida coast.
A fisherman spotted the pup's nose rising above the waves of the Tampa Bay last Thursday morning off the St. Petersburg coast, according to the Tampa Bay Times.
The dog was brought to a local pet hospital, where her microchip revealed "Baby" had been missing for two years.
"We’re assuming she fell overboard at night and nobody even knew it," Suzy Johnson, who is helping take care of the dog, told the Times.
The phone number listed on the chip didn't work.
But Baby's caretakers are now on a mission to find her original owners, according to The Associated Press.
