Forecasts of wintry weather throughout much of Pennsylvania have prompted the postponement of all four high-school football playoff games scheduled for Friday.

All four games were rescheduled for Saturday because of the winter storm moving into the Northeast, officials said.

The changes, according to the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA), are as follow:

Class A:
Old Forge vs. Steelton-Highspire at 4 p.m. atHarmon Geist Stadium, Hazleton
Clarion vs. North Catholic - at 12 p.m. at Dubois Area High School

Class AAA:
Archbishop Wood vs. Berwick at 5 p.m. at Birney Crum Stadium, Allentown
Bishop McDevitt vs. Cathedral Prep at 5 p.m. at Dubois Area High School (site change)

The Berks Catholic and Neshaminy high school football games are still set to be played as scheduled on Saturday.

A winter storm warning is in effect in north-central Pennsylvania. The National Weather Service in State College said it could get four to eight inches of snow through Friday night.

Snow, rain or a wintry mix is forecast for other parts of the state except the southeastern corner, which meteorologist Craig Evanego said will see mostly rain.

A partial clearing is predicted in most areas Saturday, but it's expected to be cold with daytime highs in the mid-20s in the northwest and the low 40s in the southeast.
