A central Pennsylvania man's charges of kidnapping and killing a missing baby are being sent to county court for trial.
Ummad Rushdi was in court Monday when an Upper Darby district judge ruled there was sufficient evidence for the case to proceed.
Rushdi, 30, of York, stands accused of kidnapping 7-month-old Hamza Ali in early August from Rushdi's parents' home in Delaware County.
Investigators have said they believe Rushdi killed the child and buried the body, although an extensive search failed to locate him.
Rushdi has described the child's death as accidental, police said.
Rushdi and the boy's mother, Zainab Gaal, shared a home in the York suburbs with Rushdi's brother and others.
