A high school band director has been arrested on charges he had sex with a student at both the school and the director's home.

JACKSON TWP., Pa. -

A band director at ELCO High School near Myerstown, Lebanon Co., stands accused by state police and school officials of having a sexual relationship with one of his students.

Kenneth Krause began the relationship in August 2012 when he worked at ELCO High School near Myerstown, said state police, who noted that the male victim was 16-years-old at the time.

The boy, now 17, told state police that he and Krause, 44, had more than 100 sexual encounters through approximately June 21, 2013, both at the school and at Krause's home in neighboring Lancaster County, according to court documents.

"I am saddened and outraged over this entire alleged incident," said Dave Zuilkoski, ELCO School District superintendent, who alerted authorities to the allegations against Krause. "As a father, I am angered and saddened first and foremost, that a student was even placed in the situation. As an educator, I am outraged at this break of trust; as educators, we are entrusted with the care of all our students, and that trust was broken."

Krause was charged with institutional sexual assault, corruption of minors and unlawful contact with a minor.
