Owners hope contest will help sell expensive Solebury Twp. home

What does it take to sell a multi-million dollar property?
Plenty of money for sure, but one Bucks County real estate firm is hoping a little German engineering helps to get the job done.
"We're at Cross Creek Farm, Bucks County. It's located on the finest, most renowned street in Bucks County: Meetinghouse Road," Donald Pearson, owner of Kurfiss Sotheby's International Realty in New Hope said, while showing the property.
This 14,000 square foot estate is set on 83 acres in Solebury Township.
"As you can see from the view here, it's literally your own country," Pearson said while looking out over the massive property.
But owning your own country isn't cheap. This one will cost you $6.2 million and it still needs a kitchen and master bath.
"At this price point a lot of people want to design their own kitchens," Pearson explained.
"I would imagine a person looking for this home wants a fine estate, a equestrian property," he added.
To help sell the home, the owners have a special promotion.
If an agent can get a signed contract to sell by the end of the year, they get a free three-year lease on a $70,000 Mercedes. But that could be easier said than done.
The house had been on the market before for nearly $11 million and couldn't sell.
Compared to a home selling for $200,000, Pearson admits the market for a property like this is much smaller.
"You have to bring attention to the potential buyer," he explained.
The lure of free German engineering may do just that.
"It's not common, which is why it's so interesting and is bringing more attention for the real estate professionals to come and look at the property," Pearson said.
It's a property maybe only the 1% can buy, but at least for now the rest of us can take a free peak.
