Truck driver killed in I-78 accident in Hunterdon County

One person was killed in a two-truck accident that tied up traffic for miles early Friday.
The accident happened around 3:30 a.m. on Interstate 78 East at mile marker 21.9 in Clinton Twp., Hunterdon Co., N.J., police said.
A flatbed truck was pulled off to the shoulder of the highway when it was hit by a tractor trailer, according to initial reports.
The driver of the tractor trailer, 42-year-old Lloyd King, Jr.,of Middletown, Dauphin Co., apparently lost control of his truck and hit the back of the flatbed truck, police said.
He had to be extricated from the truck. King was flown to Morristown Memorial Hospital, but later died.
King's 12-year-old son was a passenger in the truck. He suffered minor injuries, police said.
There were no other injuries.
The highway was backed up for miles while police investigated the incident.
