The Berks County Commissioners budget plan for next year holds the line on taxes.

The Berks County Commissioners budget plan for next year holds the line on taxes.

The commissioners said they plan to keep the tax rate at it current level in 2014. They also said they plan to maintain the same level of core services.

The budget includes a $5 million deficit that will be covered by reserve funds.

A final vote on the spending plan is expected next month.
