READING, Pa. -

A man suspected of participating in a drug trafficking organization that was dismantled by law enforcement authorities last year has given himself up.

Nicholas Heiner surrendered to Berks County narcotics detectives Monday morning.

Physical evidence implicated Heiner as a participant in an operation that distributed large amounts of cocaine, heroin and marijuana throughout Berks County, officials said.

Arrest warrants were served last May on 25 mid- to high-level drug traffickers, but Heiner, 49, of Ontelaunee Township, remained at large until his surrender Monday.

Heiner was arraigned on charges of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances (cocaine and marijuana); dealing in proceeds of unlawful activity; corrupt organizations; and criminal use of communication facility.
