The Democratic nominee for lieutenant governor said it's a "high honor" to join a ticket committed to restoring New Jersey.
Labor leader Milly Silva was introduced Monday as gubernatorial candidate Barbara Buono's running mate. Silva is executive vice president of a private union of health care workers.
Silva, 43, of Montclair, wasted no time attacking the Republican governor, whose policies she said have hurt the middle- and working-class. She said Christie's associations with conservative politicians is "cause for alarm."
The Christie campaign said Silva is unqualified to be governor.
The all-female ticket is a first for New Jersey and only the third nationwide.
Buono and Silva are challenging Christie and Lt. Gov. Kim Guadagno, who are seeking a second term.
