Ghosts provide history lessons

History comes alive this Friday night in Allentown. The Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum is presenting exhibits that actually come alive along a special tour. It's called "Ghosts of the Museum."

On Friday, from 5-9 p.m., several 'ghosts' will retell the stories of their past. You can meet historical figures such as Amelia Earhart, Abraham Lincoln, John Wilkes Booth, and more!

Organizers at the Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum say they make the exhibits as interactive as possible, with complete scenes built and outfitted with sound and light effects.

"Ghosts of the Museum" is meant to transport children and adults alike back in time and teach them about history in a unique and fun way.

Admission is free for members; otherwise it's $6 for adults and $3 for children.

The first tour leaves at 5:30 p.m. The Lehigh Valley Heritage Museum is located at 432 W. Walnut St., Allentown.
