New Jersey voters weigh 2nd term for popular Gov. Chris Christie

The major candidates for governor in New Jersey have voted.
Republican incumbent Chris Christie and his wife cast their ballots Tuesday at a firehouse in Mendham Township.
Christie said this is the last time he'll be running for elected office in New Jersey. By law, Christie can't seek a third term. He could leave to run for president if he is re-elected.
Democrat Barbara Buono and her husband voted Tuesday morning at a school gymnasium in Metuchen.
Buono said she believes she has made up ground in the last few weeks and that Democrats will turn out for her.
Polls have shown Christie with a strong lead.
New Jersey voters will also elect a new Legislature that's unlikely to change much unless Christie's big lead helps Republicans lower on the ballot.
Legislative districts favor incumbents of both parties, but Christie's 20-plus point lead over Buono has fellow Democrats more anxious than usual.
Democrats control the Senate 24-16 and the Assembly 48-32. All 120 seats are up for grabs.
Christie made a last-minute push on behalf of three Republicans running for state Senate in Middlesex, Mercer, Bergen and Passaic counties.
The governor has produced a television commercial for Peter Inverso, running against incumbent Linda Greenstein in the always competitive 14th District.
He has also poured resources into David Stahl in the 18th District and Fernando Alonso in District 38.
Polls close at 8 p.m. EST.
