Neighbors on edge in Palmer Twp.

PALMER TWP., Pa. -

A rash of crimes at a Northampton County hotel has neighbors on edge.

In just the last month, the Comfort Inn at 2415 Nazareth Rd. in Palmer Township has been the target of a holdup and a prostitution sting.

Last week, police arrested eight men and seven women during an undercover operation targeting prostitution and drug activity.

Just a few weeks before that, the hotel was robbed by a man who police say was a regular guest there.

Residents who live next to the hotel off Nazareth Road say they are disturbed by recent incidents.

Resident Greg Dipple said, "I think it's potentially dangerous to have crime that close to us. This is a really good neighborhood so it's really upsetting that this happened and I know it's not the first time the police have been there."

Palmer police say their recent undercover operation at the hotel was done to "send a message that such activity will not be tolerated in our township."
