Muhlenberg, DeSales men out to strong starts
When the Muhlenberg men return from holiday break, it will be time to enter the teeth of Centennial Conference play. The Mules are a perennial playoff team within the league, but have been snake-bitten in the postseason the last few years.
Muhlenberg, wants to change that this season and the team has certainly played like it early.
The Mules are 8-2 overall and 3-1 within the conference.
The team has a strong core of leaders back this season, ones who have tasted the disappointment of postseason losses.
That group has the team locked in this year, making sure it doesn't happen again.
The Mules host King's on January 6th.
The DeSales men are also off to a hot start this season. The Bulldogs are 7-3 overall and a perfect 2-0 in Freedom Conference play.
There's also a sense of unfinished business within the DeSales locker room.
The Bulldogs made it to the conference title game, eventually falling to Delaware Valley last season.
DeSales has been restless ever since, hungry to get their shot at redemption.
