LOWER MOUNT BETHEL TWP., Pa -

A woman was killed Wednesday when her car hit a tree, police said.

Miechelle Keller was driving north on Route 611, just south of Terri Lane, in Lower Mount Bethel Twp., Northampton Co., at 12:50 a.m. when her car went off the road and hit a tree, police said.

The car then went airborne, and Keller was ejected through the car's sunroof, said police, who noted that she was not wearing a seat belt.

The car ended up hitting another tree on the passenger side and landed halfway down an embankment.

Keller, 27, of Wind Gap, died at the scene, police said.
