FREEMANSBURG, Pa. -

Two men are in trouble with the law for bringing an ax handle and a machete to an argument, officials said.

Christopher R. Reinhold and Steven P. Brinker carried the weapons with them to the 200 block of Somerset Street in Freemansburg, Northampton County, where they began arguing with a resident of the neighborhood around 9:15 a.m. Sunday, officials said.

Court papers do not say what the argument was about, only that Reinhold, who drove his vehicle to scene, had the machete and Brinker, who was a passenger in the vehicle, had the ax handle.

Reinhold, 41, of 159 Green St., and Brinker, 42, of 324 Main St., both of Freemansburg, were arraigned on charges of making terroristic threats, possessing an instrument of crime and harassment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $5,000 bail each, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing for both men is set for 1 p.m. Dec. 17.
