A Stroudsburg man is recovering from four stab wounds at the Pocono Medical Center Thursday, following a fight with another man.
Police say at about 4:40 p.m, they responded to numerous 911 calls about a fight between two people near the intersection of Third and Main streets in Stroudsburg.
When police got there, they did not see a fight; however, more 911 calls redirected them to North Third Street near the Shop-Rite grocery store.
In the Shop-Rite parking lot, police found a 25-year-old man suffering from at least four stab wounds to his torso and leg.
They also found another man, Darren Clark, 22, with head injuries from the fight.
Police say an investigation revealed that Clark inflicted the stab wounds on the first man.
The victim was not identified.
Police say charges are pending for Clark and they include aggravated assault and related offenses.
Clark was taken to the Monroe County Correctional Facility to await video arraignment by the Monroe County on-call District Justice, police say.
The victim's condition is not known at this time and police also do not yet know the motive for the fight and the stabbing.
Two other men fled the scene towards North Second Street but were caught a short time later in a back yard off Kinter Alley.
Police plan to investigate further.
