BETHLEHEM, Pa. -

A man slapped around his girlfriend's juvenile daughter during an argument over pizza boxes.

Byung H. Yi kicked open the door of the girl's bedroom, slapped her and slammed her to the floor after the girl had shut the door during an argument over pizza boxes around 9:30 p.m. Sunday, officials said.

The argument took place in their home in the 800 block of Pembroke Road, Bethlehem, officials said, noting that the girl struck her left elbow against a couch with a metal armrest.

The girl's mother, who saw Byung assault her daughter, finally made Byung leave the room, officials added.

Byung, 34, was arraigned on harassment and assault charges and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $10,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 9 a.m. Oct. 3.
