Man meets EMTs who saved his life

It's not every day you have a chance to meet the people who saved your life.
However, a Northampton County man had that opportunity Thursday night.
It was a special reunion between John Govan of Palmer Township and an EMS crew from Easton Emergency Squad.
"He looks amazing. It's very shocking how good he looks," said paramedic E.J. Coleman.
Govan doesn't remember his first encounter with Coleman and EMT Mike Misero in July. The crew responded after Govan collapsed in cardiac arrest. Emergency responders said Govan was clinically dead.
"He was dead, his heart wasn't beating," said Coleman.
Misero said, "CPR was being performed when we got on scene and we continued doing that and gave early defibrillation and continued defibrillation and with that we had pulses and he was breathing on his own."
"I really truly know if it wasn't for them I wouldn't be here," Govan told 69 News.
He spent a week in the hospital and says he is now feeling well.
"I feel fabulous, I really do," said Govan. "Like I said I'm going another 25 years."
"It's actually an honor to see him walk in the building today and know we saved that guy's life," said Misero.
During Thursday's ceremony, Todd Burda, the director of Emergency Services at Easton Hospital, recognized Coleman and Misero as EMS Provider of the Month as part of a program the hospital started this year. The initiative recognizes the work and efforts of local EMS agencies, Burda said.
Coleman said, "It's a nice feeling but this is what we do, this is what we enjoy doing."
Govan said, "They really are the heroes. There's not too many heroes left in the world but I have my share of them."
