Man injured girlfriend by dragging her while she hung on to his SUV, police say

A man hurt his girlfriend's arm and feet by dragging her while she was holding on to his SUV, officials said.

Christopher Neve dragged his girlfriend 245 feet while she was hanging on to the rear driver's side window of his 1997 Jeep Cherokee at Cornwallis Drive and Meco Road in Forks Township, Northampton Co., at about 3:35 p.m. Monday, officials said.

Police found the victim with a bruises on her right bicep and both of her feet, officials said.

Court papers do not say what prompted the incident, only that it was "a domestic situation."

Neve, 25, of 791 Hunter Road, Forks Township, was arraigned on assault and reckless endangerment charges and committed to the Northmapton County Prison on $10,000 bail, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for 11 a.m. Sept. 12.
