HELLERTOWN, Pa. -

A man and his girlfriend ended up in jail after they assaulted one another, officials said.

Jarid S. Solosky and Camille E. Moreno took turns battering one another during a fight that started around midnight Tuesday, officials said.

Moreno told police she punched Solosky in the face while they were riding in a car, and when they returned to their home in the 100 block of Main Street in Hellertown, Northampton Co., Solosky assaulted her, officials said.

Moreno had a swollen left eye and was upset when she spoke with police, officials noted.

Solosky told police he and Moreno fought in the kitchen, and that Moreno broke the back door window and bit him on the finger and arm, officials said.

Police saw broken glass on the kitchen floor and noticed Moreno had blood on his hand coming from a finger, officials added.

Solosky, 23, and Moreno, 21, were both charged with assault and harassment and committed to the Northampton County Prison on $10,000 bail each, according to court documents.

A preliminary hearing is set for both at 2 p.m. Dec. 27.
