A Bethlehem man accused of killing his wife in front of their three children pleaded guilty to second degree murder Tuesday morning.

ALLENTOWN, Pa. -

A Bethlehem man accused of killing his wife in front of their three children pleaded guilty to second degree murder.

Win Min Htut entered the guilty plea in Lehigh County Court on Tuesday morning.

Htut, 38, fatally shot his wife, Thida Myint, 37, on Dec. 17 in front of their three children, aged 16, 10 and 3, at their home in the 300 block of Central Park Avenue in Bethlehem

After the shooting, Htut fled in his car with the three-year-old, and police found him a short time later at a convenience store. The child was not hurt.

Htut was not allowed at the home following a protection from abuse order (PFA) filed on Nov. 18.

As part of the plea deal, Htut will be sentenced to life in prison without parole and he gives up the right to appeal.
