Search called off for missing N.J. man

Rescue teams spent a majority of Sunday on the water searching for a man who went missing in the Delaware River early Saturday afternoon.
Crews from Pennsylvania and New Jersey searched the Delaware River for 38-year-old Gary West of Summit, New Jersey.
West's raft overturned around 1:40 p.m. Saturday near Columbia, N.J., a few miles south of the Delaware Water Gap.
Crews returned to the waterway around 9 Sunday morning, but efforts were called off after weather warnings were issued. Officials say the search may resume Monday morning.
West and his 14-year-old daughter launched with a group from the Delaware River Family Campground on U.S. Route 46, according to N.J. State Police spokesman Adam Grossman.
Grossman said the victims' raft drifted toward the Pennsylvania side of the river and capsized. The 14-year-old was able to swim to shore with minor injuries, according to Grossman.
"They were tubing just like us, and the tube flipped and the father didn't know how to swim," said Tad Jones of Harmony, N.J., who was rafting nearby.
Another rafter, Ryan Applebee of Belvidere, N.J., added: "There was just a lot of ambulances and search boats in the river."
N.J. State Police employed a helicopter, search boats, and divers. Fire companies from Northampton Co. in Pennsylvania are also assisting.
The river is very muddy and river levels are high right now, after weeks of near record rainfall. Grossman was not aware of any restrictions on rafting in the river though.
