Mack Trucks has been evacuated after a fire broke out around 6 p.m. Tuesday.

According to authorities, the call was originally about a truck on fire inside the building, located at 7000 Alburtis Road in Lower Macungie Township.

Kimberly Pupillo, the director of media relations for Mack Trucks, told 69News that a truck caught fire in a test and inspection area, what they call the "final area," not on the assembly line.

Production was halted with the building was evacuated, but it started up again around 8 p.m., according to Pupillo.
