Lower Milford man dies after Bucks County accident

MILFORD TOWNSHIP, Pa. -

Eighty-three-year-old Richard Eberly of Lower Milford Township died Wednesday night, hours after being involved in a car accident in Bucks County.

Eberly was pronounced dead at 10:22 p.m. at St. Luke's Hospital in Fountain Hill, Lehigh County.

At about 5:40 p.m. Wednesday, the vehicle he was driving struck a pole in the 2700 block of Old Bethlehem Pike in Milford Township, Bucks County.

The manner of death has been ruled accidental, reported first deputy coroner Eric Minnich of the Lehigh County coroner's office. He said Eberly died of blunt force injuries to the chest.

Eberly resided along Churchview Road in the southern Lehigh County township.
