Vintage Mack Trucks arrive at America on Wheels

Mack Truck fans are in for a treat!

Three Mack trucks with an amazing history have arrived at America on Wheels.

The 1926 Mack Model AC was in production from 1916 to 1938; during this time 40,299 were built.

The AC Model became famous on the WWI battlefields of Europe.

The British soldiers named them “bull dogs” because the vehicles’ stamina and ruggedness reminded them of their national symbol, the English bull dog.

The bulldog soon became the Mack corporate symbol.

The 1959 Model B61T tractor was delivered on April 30, 1959 to Cohenno, Inc. of Stoughton, MA.

The B Series continues to be a favorite of antique truck restorers and collectors.

The 1916 Mack “Paddy Wagon” began life as a fire truck for Endicott-Johnson Co. in the town of Endicott, NY.

America On Wheels is open 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday to Saturday and noon to 5 p.m. on Sundays.

Ticket prices are $8.00 for adults, $6.00 for seniors, students 6-16 $4.00, children 5 and under are FREE.

The museum is located at 5 North Front Street, downtown Allentown.
