Students at a school in Allentown got the chance to speak with some American heroes Tuesday morning.
The fifth grade class at Ritter Elementary School interviewed veterans as part of its annual Veterans Day celebration.
The students will take their interviews and turn them into biographical projects on their interviewee's life.
Teachers said the time the students spend with the veterans is very educational.
"We like the fact that they understand the freedoms that they have and the sacrifices made by people to provide them with those freedoms," said Rick Grab.
The kids invited the veterans to come back to the school on Veterans Day for an assembly of songs and presentations that will include the student's projects.
