Now image her a native to the Lehigh Valley.
The White House Internship Program announced today the selected group of young men and women for the Summer 2013 session.
Many applications were sent out from across the country and two students were selected from Northampton County.
Amy Bendekovits, a Temple University student from Northampton, and Erin Pamukcu, a Lehigh University student from Bethlehem, have been chosen to participate in the White House Internship.
The interns will work in one of many departments including the Office of the First Lady, the Office of Digital Strategy, the Office of the Vice President and many more.
Interns are given daily assignments researching, writing and attending events at schools and non-profit organizations in Washington, D.C.
The mission of this program is to build future leaders of the nation while gaining a professional and memorable experience of a lifetime.
