They're heroes without capes. On Saturday night, dozens of employees from St. Luke's Hospital were honored for their hard work.
They shared the stage with two tough patients at the 9th Annual Night of Heroes.
18-year-old Chris Pierson and 19-year-old Sean Kempf were both treated for severe spine injuries last year.
Doctors never expected the men to walk again. But they beat the odds and made full recoveries.
Chris Pearson, of Lake Hopatcong, NJ, said, "I was skiing in PA, it ws the last day of the season, the snow coverage wasnt all that great, I did a jump and I ended up landing on my lower back and being paralyzed from that point down."
The event aims to honor two patients and the countless doctors, nurses, therapists and EMTs who combine forces to save patients' lives on a daily basis.
